Intuitive painting is a creative process that combines intuition, playful exploration and freedom of expression. I invite everyone to engage in art-making free from:
Perfectionism – by silencing our inner critic
Comparison – by accepting the uniqueness of each human being
Constant need for external approval – by looking inward to find self-worth
This class is not about creating a perfect painting. It is about the process of exploring the unknown, accepting imperfections and letting go of fear and shame. True creativity is born when we face the blank canvas without any expectations, or specific goals and allow the painting to unfold organically.
Participants have the chance to work on any subject, emotion or thought they wish to explore. However, a general theme is always provided. A short guided meditation opens the practice and helps to relax the mind and the body. The classes include an introduction to the acrylic painting technique as well as some guidance through the creative process.
Here are some tips to make your participation an amazing experience:
– Wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on (Although I will provide aprons, I suggest wearing old clothes)
– Please arrive 10 minutes before the class to give yourself time to get settled
