Buddhists say whatever we do in life is because of one simple goal, which is to be happy. But sometimes after trying very hard to shape our lives, making things to materialize we lose a great deal of mental energy. Depression or melancholy take over us. You see how days pass by and all you want is just to disappear. Now why is this happening? Is there a way out? Does happiness actually exist or is it a man made illusion? Ferdi will lead the event, beginning with a short talk, and then a conversation will follow. Ferdi is an Azerbaijani artist and activist in exile. His films were criticizing the sociopolitical system of his motherland in satirical and musical ways. After co-founding and establishing Meydan TV, Azerbaijani Media in Berlin, Ferdi quit his political activities because of severe depression. He traveled to India where he studied self-discovery with several spiritual teachers. Now he continues his filmmaking career and assists individuals experiencing depression or melancholy.
