~Stay Mindful~
Relax your body, focus your mind and recharge your batteries with yoga and mindfulness…
In this 120 minute class we combine scientifically proven techniques of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with a body relaxing yoga practice. Expect a fusion of yoga and mindfulness meditation (plus an explanation if you don’t know what any of that is). Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, intentionally and without judgement. Yoga and meditation may help prolong your mindfulness!
It’s a chance to enjoy the benefits of yoga and meditation with a group, ask questions about your practice and just be in the moment, calm and relaxed. Everyone is welcome! No previous experience is necessary.
Please wear comfortable clothing, You will need to bring your OWN MAT for this workshop
WHAT TO EXPECT
// BREATHE / BEING IN THE MOMENT- Practice mindfulness of the breath/body/thoughts/emotions in a guided sitting meditation.
// BODY – Get moving and activate your core. Learn to connect mind & body through the breath in a sequence of standing, sitting and lying poses.
// MINDFULNESS BODY SCAN / MEDITATION WITH KINDNESS AND GRATEFULNESS – Lay down and listen to your body with kindness.
ABOUT US
*Nori, a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200 Yoga Alliance) and a psychologist. Yoga is one of my favorite self-care techniques, and has taught me to listen to my body and breathe in stressful situations. My classes aim at releasing tension in the neck and shoulders while building strength for a better posture, and increasing awareness of your body.
*Joanna, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation & MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) teacher. I am also a psychologist, counsellor, trainer, book author and blogger. I want to help you become more mindful, relaxed and happy.
